Advice on the safe use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers

Put a small amount of sanitizer on the palm of the hand.

Scrub it well and leave it on your hands.

Drying the hands is not necessary as it evaporates and makes the skin fresh and sterile.

Keep alcohol-based hand sanitizers out of the reach of children.

Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose immediately after using hand sanitizer, as it can cause irritation.

Most hand sanitizers are alcohol-based and therefore flammable, so keep them away from heat sources such as ovens or heaters.

Do not use sanitizer if you have open wounds on the hand.

Do not store hand sanitizer in the car.

Make sure your hands are dry from the sanitizer before you bring them close to sources of heat, such as cooking, grilling or smoking.
